Back with their seventh studio album, Dance and Cry (out November 2 from Universal Music Canada), Mother Mother have announced their 2019 North American Tour. The Dance and Cry Tour is the band’s most extensive to date, kicking off in the US on January 12 and hitting 40 cities across the continent. The Vancouver-based band’s new album features 12-tracks, all of which were written by lead singer Ryan Guldemond and produced by Guldemond and Ben Kaplan. The songs on Dance and Cry relate back to an organic, stripped down sound that reflects the bands earlier material and share themes of survival, self-reflection, sorrow and happiness. “Get Up” the lead single off the album has been met with much fanfare, impressively rocketing into the top 5 and nabbing the title of #1 most added song at Canada Alternative Rock radio in its first week of release. Vancouver based, Said the Whale return with their sixth album, Cascadia scheduled for release on February 8, 2019. Cascadia sounds like quintessential Said The Whale: with a big-hearted blend of indie rock and atmospheric folk, it perfects all of the elements that have propelled the band to radio chart-topping success.
