The Manitoba Open is Manitoba’s only PGA TOUR-sanctioned golf event, part of the PGA TOUR Americas circuit, where the best up-and-coming international golfers compete to pave their paths to the PGA TOUR. It is the 11th of 15 tour stops on the PGA TOUR Americas where 156 players from across the world come to compete for $225,000 USD each tournament, and for one of 10 spots to advance to the Korn Ferry Tour at the end of the season.
The Manitoba Open is one of the oldest golf tournaments in North America, starting in 1919. The 2026 edition of the Manitoba Open, at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club, is the first time the event has been held at the prestigious club since 1999. The Elmhurst Golf & Country Club membership is excited to show off their club to Manitoba, and internationally.
There are only 6 Canadian PGA TOUR Americas tournaments out of 15 total tour stops in North and South America. Manitoba stands proudly alongside other PGA TOUR Americas host provinces such as Ontario, British Colombia, Alberta, and New Brunswick.
The Manitoba Open is the 11th tournament of the season, becoming a critical tipping point in the pursuit of advancing to the Korn Ferry Tour and ultimately the PGA TOUR. With only a few events remaining after the Manitoba Open, Manitobans have the opportunity to watch the top scorers of the season battle to secure their place in the top 10 points list. The Manitoba Open awards 500 points to the winner of the tournament, and 300 points to the runner-up.
Canadians rarely have the opportunity to see live PGA TOUR-sanctioned golf live, and this is the only opportunity to watch PGA TOUR golf right here in Manitoba.
