Zero Pucks Given JZ Memorial Ball Hokey Tournament

Support the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre at the Zero Pucks Given JZ Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament Saturday, August 24th at St. Norbert Community Centre.

Registration is open!

Addictions affects nearly everyone in some way. Unfortunately without the proper resources and timely access to help some battles just can’t be won. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Bruce Oake Memorial Foundation to assist in the building of a long term treatment center. You can read more of Bruce’s story and what the treatment center is all about at www.bruceoakerecoverycentre.ca.

Josh (JZ) was an addict who was trying to get help. He was given a 4-6 week wait period for treatment, 4-6 weeks way to long. He died 4 days later. He died waiting for the help he wanted. This event is in his memory to raise awareness with addictions, create avenues for people to get quick and proper treatment, and save lives.

If we can save even one person’s life then something good came from this awful tragedy.
